Benefits of Cash Back Credit Cards

Cash back credit cards refund a percentage of the purchases made with the card, effectively amounting to a discount on every purchase you make.

However, when considering a cash back credit card, keep the trade offs in mind. While a cash back credit card offers a percentage rebate on purchases, it's annual fee and/or APR may be higher than other credit cards. If you plan to carry a balance, it may be preferable to use a low interest credit card.

Cash back credit cards are only one form of rewards credit card. Other card offer incentives in other categories, including gas credit cards and frequent flyer miles.
